Tweed Regional Gallery & Cape Byron Distillery Tour
Lunch and private tours included in the final price
We start off driving along the coast line of Byron Bay stopping for photos at the famous Wategos Beach.
We then make our way up to the Cape Byron Lighthouse, the journey to the Lighthouse is truly spectacular. The Cape Byron Lighthouse is a wonderful landmark of Byron, the most easterly point of Australia, with stunning panoramic views of the coast and Byron CBD. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the local dolphins and wallabies. There is a cafe so feel free to grab a coffee or a snack before we head off to Murwullimbah Gallery.
Tweed Regional Gallery ”surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns and offering panoramic views of the Tweed River, the Tweed Regional Gallery is the perfect place to visit to view first-rate exhibitions.” Exhibitions are constantly being changed. A permanent section of the Tweed Regional Gallery is devoted to Margaret Olley. Spending millions moving parts of her Paddington studio to the Gallery for display.
After our private tour there is free time to wander around the beautiful grounds before heading up to the Cafe for lunch.
Afterwards we slowly make our way back towards Byron Bay, stopping at locations to take pictures of some gorgeous views. When arriving at Cape Byron Distillery we are greeted by the wonderful staff, and treated to our own private tour.
At the Cape Byron Distillery you will be taken on “a journey through the story of our distillery, the Brook family farm and the distillation.” You will begin with the Gold Medal winning Brookie’s Gin & tonic, made from home grown and locally foraged botanicals. Then you will be taken on a guided tour of the Brooks’ family farm to explore the rainforest in search of native species used to create this fragrant gin. To finish off we will retreat back to the cellar doors to learn about the final process with a gin masterclass from one of the talented distillers. After the tour relax on the deck overlooking the farm.
To finish we can drop you off at Byron’s CBD or your accommodation.
